Kiss of Life’s Natty X Haneul: A Comeback Fueled by Joy

Girl group KISS OF LIFE has made a comeback with its second single, “Who is she.” In a pictorial and interview for the April issue of <싱글즈>, Natty and Haneul shared their excitement for the comeback.

#”An all-time intense track…pushing live vocals and performance to the max”
Natty said of the new song “Who is she,” “We prepared so we can push both the live vocals and the performance to the maximum.” She added, “I focused on how to convey the energy you feel onstage,” showing confidence about the comeback stage. After going through a world tour and music festivals, she said, “We learned that the stage comes out best when we’re genuinely enjoying it,” adding, “This time, more than feeling pressure, we thought a lot more about enjoying the stage together.”

#A revival of 2000s R&B…Natty: “I really love Usher”
Asked about artists who influenced her musically, Natty said, “What I listen to most when I’m alone is 2000s-style R&B,” adding, “I really love Usher, and I generally like the artists who were active back then.” She continued, “I’m really happy to see this style being loved again these days,” and added, “I think my unique voice meets R&B results in a way that brings out my strengths.”

Haneul also emphasized how she has grown further through this comeback. “More than before, I’ve come to think more about the overall balance of the team,” she said, adding, “Through ‘Who is she,’ I want to show a stage where each member’s charm naturally comes together.” She shared that when she gets worn out from a busy schedule, she talks with the members to find solutions, and that she writes in a journal every day to steady her mind. She also added, “I’m focusing on the process itself of creating an even better stage,” noting her changed attitude toward performing.

KISS OF LIFE wrestled intensely with the album as they prepared it—aiming to prove once again their signature “KIOF color.” Regarding the title “miracle of a small agency,” Haneul said, “I’m so grateful just hearing those words,” adding, “It’s not a title you can earn easily, is it? The members and I are always grateful, and we keep those words in mind as we promote with the determination to create an even bigger miracle.”

Speaking about performance, Natty said, “An attitude of wanting to take on new challenges makes for a great performance,” and shared her heartfelt ambition: “I want to keep growing while staying on this path.”
