The Italian Venice-originated brand Golden Goose has first introduced its new sneaker silhouette, MARATHON, in Korea, revealing a campaign featuring global ambassador Sunmi.
Embodying a hopeful message of "Run After Your Dreams," the Marathon collection is first unveiled in Korea, featuring a variety of lines including sneakers, clothing, and accessories.
In the Marathon campaign, Sunmi is seen in a 70's track field's old-school style locker room, showcasing various clothing lines along with Marathon sneakers, embodying Golden Goose's warm and vintage mood.
To celebrate the domestic launch of Marathon, Golden Goose will host a private party at Café Cenne in Seongsu-dong on September 19th.
At the party, ambassador Sunmi will give a special performance. Following that, from the 20th to the 24th, anyone who loves Golden Goose can visit the popup store to explore Golden Goose's new Marathon collection.The Golden Goose Marathon popup can be reserved through the booking button on the official Kakao channel of Golden Goose, and entry is also possible through on-site registration.
The newly revealed Marathon sneakers, inspired by the 1970s athletic tracks, are released in a unisex style. They feature advanced elements perfectly integrated with the design, like a 3D printed stabilizer on the heel tab, evoking nostalgia while adding a futuristic vibe.
The sneakers are available in various colorways such as white, black, red, royal blue, and silver. Each sneaker applies Golden Goose's signature distressed technique, creating a unique vintage mood and a 'lived-in' look.
Additionally, clothing and accessory collections that encapsulate the concept of the Marathon sneakers are also being released. These include a windbreaker mixed with silver and royal blue colors, metallic silver cargo pants, running shorts, women's crop t-shirts, and men's t-shirts, comprising a diverse range of colors and products.
The vintage yet trendy Marathon collection will be officially launched on September 20th and will be available at Golden Goose's online store, Seoul flagship store, and nine other stores including Hyundai Department Store branches in Mokdong, Pangyo, Trade Center, The Hyundai Seoul, Lotte Department Store branches in Dongtan and Suwon, and Shinsegae Department Store branches in Centum City and Hanam.
Furthermore, a popup with the same concept will take place on the connecting bridge of the 4th floor of Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam branch from September 26th to October 12th.
