The British designer brand Alexander McQueen has unveiled its 2024 Spring/Summer Women's Pre-Collection.
In this collection, Alexander McQueen showcases signature tailoring, expertly cutting and piecing together traditional menswear fabrics such as morning stripes, grand de poudre, sharkskin Prince of Wales checks, and cavalry twill wool to fit the female form.
The cotton shirts and trench coats are adorned with practical patch pockets, while the fringe detailed corsets and biker leather styles in classic black, silver, and gold colors convey intensity. Oversized bow ribbons and knot details reminiscent of couture ateliers, and fluid harness dresses with knot buttons are also striking.
Additionally, the collection reinterprets chiaroscuro, a technique of strong contrast between light and dark seen in old master paintings, in flower prints displayed through jacquard, weaving, and embroidery.
The collection also features crystal frogging and chain embroidery details inspired by uniforms.
Particularly, the gold metal buttons embossed with the Alexander McQueen house seal emblem, originating from the Tudor Rose motif inspired by nature, represent the spirit of exploration and overturning of silhouettes, a hallmark of McQueen's ready-to-wear.
Meanwhile, Alexander McQueen's 2024 Spring/Summer Women's Pre-Collection is available at Alexander McQueen's official online store and boutiques nationwide.
