The Nordic lifestyle brand ARKET (ARKET) is introducing its 2024 S/S collection. This collection, embodying freedom and comfort, expresses the cycle of seasons and a longing for nature, applying high-quality, tactile materials.
The men's collection emphasizes a preppy look with a summer resort feel. For women's clothing, silhouettes are expressed long and slim, with vertical pleats and flared hems, using fabric structures to achieve a rough texture.
ARKET's Design and Creative Head, Ella Soccorsi, said, "In this women's collection, we applied comfortable and soft silhouettes to good-quality basic items. The uniquely textured materials maintain their quality over time and blend well with basic white items."It was designed with a new Bohemian concept, embodying a comfortable and free feeling," she conveyed.
For men's clothing, faded reds and blues add a contrasting balance. The use of loose knits, suede, corduroy, and paper poplin is prominent. ARKET's signature comfortable sets are noticeable, including oversized shirt and shorts sets and corduroy trucker sets.
Timeless cotton and linen blousons, oversized car coats, and suede zip-up jackets are essential outerwear that can be naturally incorporated anytime, anywhere.
Furthermore, Erik Schedin, Head of Men's Design at ARKET, stated, "The 2024 S/S men's collection shows a sophisticated design, adding a Mediterranean summer and Bohemian feel to the unique atmosphere of ARKET.
He further conveyed, "The smart preppy look is applied to raw denim, practical daily items, and French workwear styles, completing a comfortable yet sophisticated utility style."
ARKET, in its continuous effort towards sustainability, has used materials considering environmental impact, including RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) certified wool, Texloop recycled and organic cotton blend materials, ECONYL® recycled nylon, organic cotton, chrome-free leather, vegetable leather, and recycled brass ornaments.
The ARKET SS24 collection will be available in February at ARKET offline stores (Garosugil branch, The Hyundai Seoul branch, Shinsegae Centum City branch) and the online store (arket.com/ko-kr). Meanwhile, ARKET is set to open its fourth store in South Korea at Starfield Suwon on January 26.
