Ethiopian and London-based Feben collaborated for this collection, merging iconic elements from the 1990s Dolce & Gabbana archives with animal patterns, tapes, stripes, textures, and curves into puff coats and dresses.

Dolce & Gabbana supported Feben from fabric and material sourcing to runway debut, allowing her to inject energetic and sensual creativity into the heart of Italian fashion.

Regarding the theme 'Speed' of the collection, Feben reflected, "I considered how quickly the collection should be completed. If the right materials are not available, even tape can be used. The outfits created in this way may not be conventionally beautiful, but I wanted to find beauty within them. I was inspired by German artist Isa Genzken's use of various colored tapes, and enjoyed the process of creating beautiful works from the balance between what is conventionally beautiful and what is not."

Some of the costumes were inspired by the spiked dress sculptures of American artist Simone Yvette Leigh, which reference African traditional architectural styles. The spike details, made of mesh material, were hand-applied to the garments. Accessories and bags from Feben's collection were adorned with upcycled plastic beadwork made by artisans in Accra, the capital of Ghana, with whom Feben has worked for a long time.

We have always loved her approach, which focuses on collaborating with artisans worldwide and the 'Fatto a Mano' spirit. We are sincerely happy that this project continues to provide great opportunities for many talented individuals. This is what motivates us to continue this project."
