On March 15th, British casual shoe brand Clarks Originals will launch the first collaboration product 'Desert Khan EG' with New York-based fashion brand Engineered Garments.
'Desert Khan EG', born from the rich heritage of Clarks Originals and the imagination of Engineered Garments' head Daiki Suzuki, will be globally launched on March 15th and will be available at Nepenthes New York and global stores, as well as online official stores.
In South Korea, it will be released on the same day through Clarks Originals online official store, Sculp Store, and Vaska Store, available in three styles: sand suede, brown suede, and black suede.
Daiki chose 'Desert Khan', a low-cut version of the classic Desert for his first collaboration with Clarks Originals. 'Khan' is named after Khan el-Khalili market in Cairo, Egypt, where the original Desert boots were made during World War II, featuring flexible suede leather with unique details. The classic desert silhouette combined with Daiki's unique style perfectly showcases Clarks Originals' timeless style.
'Desert Khan EG' highlights Engineered Garments' signature asymmetry, with the left closure featuring D-rings and the right with blind eyelets, making it a versatile item for a range of styles from casual to formal. The leather kiltie on the vamp, embossed with the Engineered Garments logo, protects the tongue from friction and adds a unique touch, while the nylon pull tab on the back allows for easy wearing.
Moreover, the traditional crepe sole of Clarks Originals has been replaced with the 'Vibram Morflex' sole, making it light and flexible while ensuring comfort for daily wear through its shock-absorbent properties.
