Street sneaker brand EAST PACIFIC TRADE (EPT) opened its first flagship store in Taipei, Taiwan, on July 4.
The flagship store, located in Taipei's Zhongshan District, was planned in response to the remarkable success of last year's pop-up store in Taipei and continued requests from Taiwanese customers. EPT plans to solidify its position as a global brand while making a full-scale entry into the Taiwanese market with the opening of this store.
The new store is themed around the brand's latest concept, 'Silver Pacific.' It features a stylish yet minimalist space using metallic silver and mirror materials, enhancing shopping convenience by allowing products to be intuitively viewed through an open display format.
The store showcases a wide range of EPT's popular sneakers and the latest new products, along with accessories such as apparel, ball caps, socks, and merchandise. Notably, you can find exclusive colorways of EPT's best-selling items, the 'COURT Classic Leather Sneakers' and 'SANTOS German Trainer' models.
Additionally, to commemorate the store opening until July 31, various events are being held, including custom lighter giveaways, a lucky draw for purchasing customers, and keychain giveaways.
A brand representative stated, "The EPT store in Taiwan is a key location for entering overseas markets, including Taiwan. We plan to further strengthen our position in the global market based on this store opening. Furthermore, we aim to provide various content to share EPT's unique sensibility and culture and communicate with customers, rather than just displaying and selling products."
Meanwhile, EPT is a unique footwear brand based on California's skate culture and Korea's street culture. Founder Jai Baek contributed to the global growth of DC Shoes, Creative Recreation, and HUF Skateboard, and launched the brand in Seoul in 2019 with over 30 years of experience and know-how.
EPT is loved for its designs and product strength that encompass various lifestyles, from urban everyday life to the outdoors. Its unique silhouette and stable fit satisfy both style and comfort. In particular, EPT's core technology, DSI Ortholite® (Dual Soft Impact), is excellent for shock absorption and support, making it famous as a shoe that remains comfortable even after walking ten thousand steps.
In Korea, you can find EPT at offline stores in Dosan, Hannam, Myeongdong, and Hongdae, and online platforms like Musinsa, 29cm, and Cream. EPT plans to expand its recognition by opening a new store in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, in the second half of this year, covering both domestic and international markets.
