On January 16th, Vans, the original action sports/lifestyle brand, is launching a new capsule, "BLOCK BY BLOCK," under the Tokyo Design Collective (TDC) line.
The Tokyo Design Collective is Vans' new line that introduces Japanese design aesthetics to the world and redefines urban utility fashion. The TDC line emphasizes superior functionality through an optimal choice of materials and a detail-oriented design approach for each item. It also breathes new life into the essence of Tokyo fashion culture, reviving the 90s Tokyo culture.
For the upcoming Spring 2024 season, Vans is expanding the TDC lineup through the "BLOCK BY BLOCK" capsule, starting with the Sk8-Mid 83 DX. This capsule is characterized by uppers made of a variety of mixed materials such as oiled leather, nubuck leather, and Cordura herringbone stitch, offering both superior durability and refined style. It also combines the original design elements and comfort of the classic Sk8-Mid with the latest technology, allowing for versatile styles that suit various situations and personalities.
The latest lineup also offers a variety of apparel products, including jackets, sweatshirts, and woven pants. Each item features iconic details such as handcrafted artwork from the Vans archive and "Designed in Japan" stitching. Additionally, elements like the crewneck and pocket pouches incorporate Vans' "V" design, simultaneously achieving functionality and brand identity.
The new capsule "BLOCK BY BLOCK" from Tokyo Design Collective will be available for purchase from January 16, 2024, at Vans' online store (vans.co.kr) and select offline stores.
