On March 9, Women in Film (WIF) hosted the 17th Women in Film Oscar Nominees Party (WIF Oscar Nominees Party) in Los Angeles, celebrating female nominees for this year's Oscar Awards.
The event was hosted by the Italian luxury fashion house brand Max Mara, with the main sponsor ShivHans Pictures and champion sponsor Johnnie Walker (presentation partner for the WIF 50th anniversary campaign).
This annual event, which started in 2007 and celebrates all women nominees working both in front of and behind the camera during the Oscar season, is based on the belief that films made by women, for women, can be created more frequently through collaboration between women, nonbinary, and transgender individuals. This year, the event took place at Catch Steak LA in Los Angeles, designed and produced by Event Eleven.
Kirsten Schaffer, CEO of Women in Film (WIF), said, “The role of Women in Film as an organization and community is more important than ever before, in support of environments faced by women, transgender, queer, and people of color,” and “We have been working for 50 years and will continue to strive to achieve gender equality.”
Meanwhile, VIP guests such as Celine Song, Lili Reinhart, Kathryn Newton, Bella Heathcote, Nicky Hilton, and Abigail Spencer attended the event wearing collections from Max Mara and Sportmax in front of the photowall.
