On January 22nd (local time), the French luxury fashion house Dior (DIOR) held its 2024 Spring-Summer Haute Couture Collection.
The collection show was attended by local celebrities such as actress Han So-hee, and garnered much attention. Other international celebrities like Natalie Portman and Anya Taylor-Joy also graced the event.
Maria Grazia Chiuri's 2024 Dior Spring-Summer Haute Couture Collection is infused with the concept of 'Aura,' reminiscent of the enchanting thread of Ariadne in a labyrinth.
Maria Grazia Chiuri, in her exploration of the diverse beauty of textiles, collaborated with Isabella Ducrot. Isabella created the backdrop for the fashion show with 'Big Aura,' consisting of 23 silhouettes freely arranged on a grid of irregularly drawn black lines, like warp and weft.
The collection reinterprets the La Cigale dress from the 1952 Fall-Winter season, showcasing Dior House's archival designs in a contemporary look. The runway featured garments with striking collars, coats, boldly cut-out wide skirts, layering items, pants, and jackets, exuding structural charm and elegance.
Some outfits were crafted from captivating velvet, and the embroidered double organza dresses were presented with feather capes, displaying splendid elegance.
