On November 23, the Korea Fashion Industry Association (President Han Jun-seok) hosted the "NextChapter in LEDOME" event* for the 2024 S/S season preview at LeDome, the K-fashion showroom located in the Dongdaemun Fashion Biz Center. *(The event was part of the Global Brand Fostering Project under the Textile Fashion Revitalization Initiative, supported by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, led by Minister Bang Moon-kyu)
At the event, over 100 attendees including domestic and international buyers, press, and Chinese influencers, along with 32 K-fashion designer brands housed in LeDome, were present. Brand promotions and consultations for e-commerce platform entries like Lazada and Tmall were conducted through live commerce by Chinese influencers.
In December, live commerce on B2C platforms such as Qoo10, TMON, and Kakao Shopping will be utilized for promotional marketing in Southeast Asian fashion markets like Japan, Singapore, and China, to continuously support the global business expansion of K-fashion.
Under the slogan "NextChapter in LEDOME", the event facilitated buyer networking for the 2024 S/S season preview and business activation, domestic and international promotion of K-fashion brands through media days, strengthened networking with key department stores and online platform buyers and media, and live brand matching and sessions with about 20 Chinese influencers.
The LeDome showroom, meaning 'to nurture' in French, is the leading K-fashion showroom initiated by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and driven by the Korea Fashion Industry Association. In 2023, it housed 32 K-fashion designer brands and is functioning as a hub for domestic and international marketing.
Its main programs include continuous business linkage and brand promotion support, product exhibitions, space utilization support like photo studios, PPL sponsorship, and SNS promotion.
